CANON POINT: Mid season 5. This means he is currently using a cane as he is recovering from a leg injury, something not present in my samples as I hadn't decided on my canon point yet (whoops).

WISH: That Riley Jenkins hadn't been sexually abused and killed when Spencer was a boy.
FIT: Although largely uncomfortable with physical contact and a bit of a germaphobe, Spencer Reid is a highly empathetic, compassionate person, the force that drove him to use all his smarts not for something academic but to catch the very worst criminals out there, void of motives like revenge or justice. He became the youngest agent ever assigned to the BAU at 22 years old, and it's a career path he doesn't regret. With almost literally an entire world of opportunities open to him, Spencer chose saving people -- including the unsubs themselves, where he can -- over everything else. He's committed and heartfelt to understanding others and to helping them, is deeply sympathetic to mental illness even when violent, and takes loss strongly. Reid's personal connections are a lifeline to him, as he had few friends growing up and still has an unstable family life. He likes making people smile, performing sleight-of-hand for little kids to cheer them up, and, of course, educating everyone around him, free of charge.
There's no doubt Reid is well-suited to something that runs off of positive energy generation-- for how morbid and unrelentingly awful his job is, and often his personal life as well, Reid is relentless in working to improve things for himself and for others. Apart from his job catching criminals, Reid would be likely to seek out volunteer time tutoring, counseling, and establishing or mentoring support groups for grief or addiction. (He is a perpetually-recovering narcotics addict who attends regular meetings.) On a more personal level, Reid has the capacity for immense emotional intimacy and employs it often to do his job and for his teammates. Some pressure to get him closer to people would help speed along what is normally a slow, but fruitful, process in getting him to give up his habitual distance, and with time he could be persuaded to be physically close with the right person. It would be a learning process for him.
CONSENT: Reid is not just law enforcement, but federal law enforcement assigned to the most psychological unit out there, the BAU. As a profiler, there's maybe no one better equipped to understand the nuances of consent. Reid regularly enforces the law against non-consent and does so with great passion and dedication. The idea of harming others, or doing anything against their will, is straight into abhorrent for him-- he's more or less dedicated his life to taking down serial murderers, rapists, and kidnappers. On top of that, he's far from an aggressive or assertive person, preferring a defensive stance which can make him at times snappish but always abundantly clear about when he is or isn't agreeing to something.
POWERS/ABILITIES: Reid is... from a totally normal, ostensibly 'real-world' Earth! He has nothing supernatural or extra-human going on in any way. His only potential superpower is having way too many degrees: PhDs in mathematics, chemistry, and engineering, and BAs in psychology and sociology, with another BA in philosophy incoming. He's said the only reason he doesn't have a degree in English lit (his mom's field) is because he'd already read all of the books on the syllabuses, so he didn't bother. He has an IQ of 187 (higher than Einstein, supposedly), can read 20,000 words per minute, and has an eidetic memory, mostly for things he's read. He also carries a Smith & Wesson Model 65-3 revolver in an appendix carry, which is highly non-standard for the FBI and presumably is to accommodate what a poor shot he is.
